Anchoring system with helical bearing plates welded to a central steel shaft. The tensile load is transferred from the shaft to the soil through these bearing plates. Helical anchors require no cure time and can be tensioned immediately. Such uses of the helical anchor include but are not limited to earth retention tiebacks, buoyancy anchoring for pipelines, and many other uplift resistance applications. The helical anchor can achieve capacities up to 200,000 lbs per anchor.
