The spacing and location of helical piers are determined based on the load requirements, but in some cases this spacing may need to change. Reasons that may require relocating the helical pier include: utility interference, footing not reinforced well enough to carry loads between helical piers, and helical piers that may hit obstructions requiring the anchor locations to be moved.
